Ashly Richards is a marketing professional with 20+ years of experience who currently serves as Creative Services Director for 12 On Your Side/CW Richmond, Central Virginia’s highest-rated television and streaming station. She leads the station’s marketing department, overseeing commercial production, branding, news image, events and sponsorships, as well as all on-air and digital promotion and media placement.

After studying psychology and communications at The George Washington University, Ashly began her career in television as a research assistant at a local Fox affiliate and later became Research Director—experience that shaped her belief that strong storytelling starts with understanding the numbers.

Ashly has received multiple honors for her work, including first-place awards for news promotion from the Virginia AP, Virginia Association of Broadcasters, the Capital Emmys, and national recognition from GEMA (Promax).



Outside of work, she leads a small department of three young children and supports the ASD community through advocacy and fundraising.
