Jamal attended Norfolk State University School of Business Management and obtained his degree in Business Management. He has been in banking for over 17 years and during that he has gone from a personal banker to retail branch manager to business relationship manager and now a business development officer. One of the best parts of his job is working with people to get funding to start or buy a new business or to help expand their existing business. Jamal's goal for 2023 going into 2024 is to help 100 business in the Richmond area get access to capital to get their business off the ground or to buy a new business. As a Richmond native Jamal enjoys close connections and relationships with business owners that he has developed over the last 25 years and counts many of his former customers as friends. He currently lives in Church Hill with his beautiful wife Sydney and their 4 children.
